Souvenir jewelry is a memory to touch. It means we always have our furry friend with us. An engraved paw print of the beloved animal makes it even more unique. Special mourning candles bring comfort in dark hours. You can find all of these mementos of your beloved pet here.
What does the procedure look like?
First contact
Is the date of your pet’s death (due to euthanasia) already known or would you like to be prepared for an emergency? Feel free to contact us at any time by phone or email.
We will discuss everything important and guide you through this turbulent time.
Collection
You are welcome to bring your four-legged friend to us yourself or have them collected by us or our trusted partners.
Fast and reliable!
Farewell
You can say goodbye to your beloved pet in peace and quiet in our farewell room. It can then be cremated.
We guarantee fast processing! (Your furry friend will not be stored!)
Cremation
During the cremation, take a walk in the peaceful nature that surrounds our animal crematorium or have a coffee with our staff.
We are at your side if you wish!
Urn transfer
After the cremation, you can collect the urn directly from us or our partners.
We can also send it to you.
Burial (if desired)
If you do not wish to take your pet’s ashes home with you, you can have them placed in one of our three carefully designed collection crypts.
A joint burial of humans and animals is also possible at the Franziskus Urnenhain.
Collective crypts
Our three lovingly designed collection crypts are located in Graz on “Neufeldweg” – near the animal protection center “Arche Noah” -, in Lebring on the grounds of the animal crematorium or in St. Josef/West Styria on the grounds of the “Franziskus Urnenhain im Schilderland”. The ashes of the animals are buried there without an urn and can therefore not be removed again. A name plate on one of the memorial stones reminds of the deceased animal.
The collection crypt in Lebring also contains the ashes of some abandoned lost animals whose owners we – despite our efforts – unfortunately could not find.

Collection and urns/memorial jewellery are not included in the price.
Everything you need to know
In our crematorium it is possible to say a reverent farewell to pets as well as large animals (e.g. ponies, horses, donkeys, alpacas, …) in the form of a cremation. Dignified handling of the deceased animals is particularly important to us.
Single cremation only
We only offer individual cremations. Reverence, reliability, transparency and hygiene are of the utmost importance. The ashes are returned as quickly as possible – same-day return is also possible after consultation at no extra cost.
Collection
On request, we can collect your deceased pet from your home, from the vet of your choice or from the stable of your choice (large animal) anywhere in Austria. Of course, you can also bring your deceased pet to us in Graz or Lebring yourself and say goodbye to it in peace and quiet in our farewell rooms. (Without extra charge, of course!)
We are there for you around the clock!
Because we know that death knows no time, we are available around the clock, 365 days a year, without any Sunday, public holiday or night surcharges, and will endeavor to collect your pet as quickly as possible! You can also bring your pet to us in person – during opening hours or outside of opening hours by telephone arrangement.
Urns & memorial jewelry
If you would like an urn for your pet’s ashes, we can offer you a very large selection of urns or memorial jewelry from our constantly updated urn stock and will be happy to advise you – we can also make personal mementos such as paw prints or jewelry from hair.
Procedure
Immediately upon collection or receipt of the deceased animal by us, the “Application for cremation” is filled out with all relevant data with the help of the animal owner, which accompanies the animal until the ashes are returned. This procedure and the fact that we only carry out single cremations ensure that there is no confusion.
After weighing, the animal is carefully placed in a labeled body bag for hygienic reasons, which burns without residue during cremation. As we carry out cremations on a daily basis, cremation often takes place on the same day and you receive the ashes of your deceased animal back as quickly as possible. Depending on the situation, immediate cremations are also possible without any additional costs, but please contact us in advance.
You have the option of either collecting the ashes from us or receiving them by post. On request, the ashes can also be placed in one of our three collective crypts or in the Franziskus Urnenhain (natural resting place for humans and animals).
